Melbourne French Music Trio is a three piece ensemble consisting of guitar, accordion and double bass specialising in French chanson, musette and Gypsy swing.

All three members of the group sing in French and in English with an emphasis on lush two and three part harmonies. The trio are renowned for bringing quality performances, professionalism and a joyful bonhomie to each event they perform at.

They are available to perform at concerts, wineries, weddings and other celebrations and corporate events and can perform acoustically or with amplification if needed.

Melbourne French Music Trio - Come and hear the enchanting music of Paris and take a trip through the golden age of French musette and chanson.

Melbourne French Music Trio specialise in the music of Paris from the 1930's to the 1960’s, from the traditional waltz through to tango, gypsy swing and chanson (popular French song), this is music to inspire dancing and reminiscing!

The trio features:

Piano accordion and vocalist
Guitar, harmonica and vocalist
Double bass and vocalist

The trio was enthusiastically received by audiences on their 2011 regional Victorian tour where more than one audience member embraced the performers with their words 'You remind us of our wonderful times in Paris”.
Other memorable performances include Bastille Day balls; french themed dinners; festivals such as Brisbane's OzManouche Gypsy Jazz festival; concerts at The Boite; Surrey Music Cafe and Glen Eira's Winter Music festival series; the Famous Spiegeltent for the Melbourne festival; functions locally and interstate (Sydney Opera House and Vue de Monde) and numerous private functions.

The members use their own performances and studies in France to research and further extend the band's authentic sound and repertoire.
